Terms
Last updated September 21, 2026
These terms cover this website, the Hearth waitlist, and the Hearth app, which is in early access. Reading the site or joining the waitlist means the first part applies to you. Creating an account in the app means all of it does. Questions go to hello@myhearthhub.com.
Part one: this website and the waitlist
Using this site
You may read this site and join the waitlist. Do not attempt to disrupt it, submit addresses that are not yours, or use automated means to sign up in bulk.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist reserves a place in line. It is not a purchase, and it does not create a contract to supply the product. We may change the launch timing, the feature set, or the plans described on this page.
Where this page says waitlist members lock in the launch price, we intend to honor that for anyone on the list at launch. If circumstances force a change, we will tell you by email before charging you anything.
Pricing shown here
The plans and prices on this page describe what we intend to offer. They are not final until the product is available for purchase, and nothing on this page charges you.
Part two: the Hearth app
Who can use it
You must be an adult to create an account. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in details private, and for the people you invite into your household. An owner can change what other members are allowed to do and can remove them.
Your household's information
What you put into Hearth belongs to you and your household. You give us permission to store it, show it to the members and share-link holders you choose, and send the emails you trigger, so that the service works. That permission ends when the information is deleted, subject to the backup timing in our privacy policy.
Most of what goes into Hearth is about other people: your children, your parents, your sitter, your pediatrician. You are responsible for having the right to record it and for keeping it accurate. Do not enter information about someone you have no relationship with or no reason to hold.
Sharing
A share link shows a slice of your household to whoever holds the link and its PIN. You choose what each link includes, who receives it, and when it ends. Keep the PIN separate from the link. We are not responsible for what a recipient does with information you chose to share with them, and we cannot recall a code once someone has read it. You can end a link at any time.
Not professional advice
Hearth stores what you and your household typed. It does not check that an allergy list, a medication, a dose or a phone number is correct or current, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, a pharmacist, a lawyer or an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Documents
You may upload documents to a home record for your household's own use. Keep your own copies. Documents are never included in a share link. We may refuse or remove a file that breaks these terms or the storage limits shown in the app.
Acceptable use
- Do not store anything unlawful, or anything you have no right to hold.
- Do not try to reach another household's information or to defeat a PIN.
- Do not probe, scrape, overload or reverse engineer the service.
- Do not resell access or use Hearth to run a service for other households.
Early access
Hearth is in early access. Features will change, screens will move, and the service may be unavailable at times. We take backups, but you should keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, including uploaded documents. We may migrate or reset parts of the service during early access; when that would affect your data we will tell you first.
Pricing and billing
The app is free during early access. We intend to offer a paid household plan at the price shown on this site, with viewers always free. Nothing in the app charges you today. Before we bill anyone we will tell you by email, and billing terms will be added here then.
Ending your use
You can leave a household from its settings and can ask us to delete your account at any time; our privacy policy describes what happens to the household's information. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Our content
The Hearth name, logo, copy, and design belong to us. Please do not reuse them without permission.
No warranty
The site and the app are provided as is. We do not promise they will be uninterrupted, error free, or that the information stored in them is accurate, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other warranty.
Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from information you chose to share, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. For a material change to the app terms we will email account holders before it takes effect; continuing to use the site or the app after that means the updated terms apply.
